Susan Lyles

Executive Director

Susan has produced, directed, designed and acted for over twenty years, in Chicago, Denver and Wichita. Her experience in acting has included over 60 plays, several national commercials, film and print work. She produced Ordering Lunch by Eric Coble and Rebel by Leroy Clark in Chicago, and has additionally directed and designed costumes for several plays. Susan has a BA from Wichita State University and studied at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in London. She has also served on the board for MJM productions in Denver, CO.

Susan lives in Colorado with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and many assorted fish. Interesting facts-she shook hands with Alan Shepherd as a child, kissed the Blarney Stone, has sky dived, once and only once, survived an earthquake and the Great Chicago Flood, but surprisingly enough has never seen a tornado.

Darren Smith

Technical Director/Designer

As technical director for And Toto too, Darren is responsible for the technical operations of the theater, determining technical staffing and equipment requirements for productions, and acts as the central coordinating point for the designers, the stage management team, the craftspeople, etc. – throughout each production.

With more than 30 years of experience both on-stage and in almost every capacity behind the scenes, Darren brings a wealth of ideas and best practices to And Toto too.

Darren is not, despite what a 'vanity search' on the internet may lead you to believe, an editor and writer specializing in travel directories and feature magazine stories, an Australian rugby league player, the 1997 World Irish Dancing Champion, a football player for the Grand Valley State University Lakers, a new age composer living in Texas, or a Christian comedian and illusionist. He lives in Denver with his wife, two sons, and their two dogs, and is also the co-founder of the leading B2B customer reference company Point of Reference. He has seen a tornado.
