Trying to figure out what is real in an increasingly surreal world? What you need is the kind of laughter that comes not at someone else's expense, but from exploring human foibles - like landing in a life you didn't want, or extortion, or political correctness, religion, Shakespeare, suicide, PBS… and of course mediocre sex. ‘Cause that's life in this big shared boat we're all in, and that’s just funny.
PLAYWRIGHT
EDITH WEISS
Edith Weiss the playwright writes children's plays, funny murder mysteries, and short plays. Her work has been produced on every continent except Antarctica. Her plays have been in juried competitions in NYC, California, Chicago, Boston, among others. In Denver And Toto too and the Denver Center have produced her work. She loves her adaptation of Moliere's The Miser, called "The Tightwad"; so hopefully someone will produce that before I kick the bucket. (back to 3rd person) Actor wise, she's worked for the Denver Center, Arvada Center, Miner's Alley, Square Product Theater, Benchmark, Colorado College, Catamounts, Country Dinner Playhouse, Backstage Breckenridge, Littleton Town Hall, and other theaters that regretfully no longer exist. So thank you for your patronage of this small theater independent production. Thank you to Susan Lyles of And Toto too for taking a chance on this. And thank you to Buntport, whose work I have loved for many years.
