ONE LAST THING BEFORE I FORGET

“Two women, both ghosts….for now. The rule is, when your last story is gone, you cease to exist. And they are both down to their last story. One of them wants to stay, the other is eager to go. But they need each other’s help…”

GERTRUDE AND OPHELIA IN HELL

“Poling and Lyles share a nice comic chemistry…” Rory Ford, The Scotsman

In this dark comedy Ophelia and Gertrude are in limbo and on their way to hell.   Both believe they have been wrongfully accused.  Ophelia claims that the branch was to blame!  Gertrude claims that the adultery accusation is specious at best! What if they could get a redo?  What if Hamlet just takes the crown this time…

QUEER READING SERIES-FALL

Trevor, the golden boy, struggled with his attraction to men from an early age being raised in a conservative religious family. At two different critical moments in his life, his future self and his younger self come to show him the strength he truly has as they revisit pivotal conversations with his parents and brother. They must navigate shame, responsibility and expectations and find ways to love and celebrate their true self. The coming out process is unique to each person and is also a communal experience for those that are LGBTQ+, especially when you add religion and family to the journey. Will the family choose religion over their son?

MAINSTAGE READING SERIES-FALL

Directed by Susan Lyles

Starring Jane Fromme and Arabella Beaubrun

Angie, an experienced trauma therapist for refugees, walks out of her office and into seclusion after one too many encounters with the horrors of genocidal violence. An inspired fascination with lead singer Steve Perry, whom she believes is a reclusive kindred spirit, sparks six-months of letter-writing to Perry and a period of introspection in which Angie draws on her past, her friendships and her family to come to terms with the cruelty in the world.
