EDITH WEISS

POETS OF GREAT PASSION

It's been my honor to once again be part of The Play Crawl.  My 8th time, I believe.  And what makes it wonderful for me is the people: the playwrights who write with no remuneration, the audience who comes to see plays that are completely new, the actors and directors who offer their services, and Susan and Darren, who put heart, soul, and sweat into it. Not that I didn't benefit from it: when And Toto too produced Fierce Satire and Mediocre Sex, it included two plays that premiered at the Play Crawl. So it's not just a fundraiser, it's a community of likeminded people who are determined to keep independent theater alive. Gratitude.
